Recently, the government and the military region in Hebei Province passed a resolution to name 38 units as province-level educational bases for national defence.
The list includes: the Northern China Martyrs’ Cemetery, the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-He’nan Martyrs’ Cemetery, the Xibaipo Museum, the Memorial Hall of the Meihua Massacre, the Chinese Historical Gardens area of the East Grand Turtle Park, the militia training base in Shijiazhuang, Unit 66010 of the PLA, the youth artillery school in the Xinhua district of Shijiazhuang, the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Xingji Municipality, the Dong Cunrui Martyr’s Cemetery, the Rehe Memorial Hall of Revolutionary Martyrs, the Martyrs’ Cemetery of the Soviet-Mongolian United Army in Zhangbei county, the site of the Shanxi-Chaha’er-Hebei Military Area headquarters, the history hall of Unit 66455 of PLA, the Artillery Museum, the militia training base in Changli county, the Laolongtou scenic spot, the No.1 (Shanhaiguan) Pass scenic spot, the Eastern Hebei Martyrs’ Cemetery, Tangshan Earthquake Relief Memorial Hall, the Changji Home of Happiness for Heroes, the Li Dazhao Memorial Hall, the Memorial Hall of the Panjiayu Massacre; the Memorial Hall of the Panjiadaizhuang Village Massacre, the No. 1 City of Xianghe County, the Tunnel Warfare Memorial Hall at Ranzhuang village, the Memorial Hall of the Mount Langya Five Heroes; the Chengnanzhuang Village Revolutionary Museum, the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Changzhou, the site of Dr. Norman Bethune’s operating room in Hejian, the Martyr Ma Benzhai Memorial Hall, the Museum of New Year Pictures at Wuqiang, the “April 29” Martyrs’ Cemetery, the Dongming School of Education for National Defence, the Yihetuan Memorial Hall, the site of the 129th division of the Eighth Army headquarters, and the Museum of Revolutionary History in Yetao.
